Image consulting was my thing in the 80s and 90s but even then I didn’t go near the rhetoric that talked about 'colouring me beautiful'.

Unlike many businesses I didn’t do it to flog lipstick, or teach you how to match our shoes and your belt. What I cared deeply about and still do is helping you understand who you are, and understand what happens when other people look at you. 

I help you make sense of the reactions you elicit. Do people ignore you or talk over you, treat you like you don’t matter or aren’t important? Or when you open your mouth do they listen? Do you get treated with respect? Is it on some occasions and not others?

Do you feel like ‘you’ whatever the occasion? ‘You’ when you go out to work, or when you have to dress up for an event, or go on a date. I help women be more themselves and in doing so I help them be visible. I give them the secret weapons so that when they walk into a meeting everyone thinks ‘she looks like she’ll know what she’s talking about.’ I can show you how to never get pushed in front of ever again. I am also your secret weapon to fight the patriarchy, (and they won’t even know it’s happening.)

What we choose wear speaks 100 times louder than anything you say and do. We might write engaging copy for our instagram, have years of training under our belt, do hours of networking, but if your clothes say ‘please ignore me’ or 'I don't count' you are sabotaging yourself in the most profound way possible.
